Applications in Qatar

Qatar has a well-developed oil and gas, refining, petrochemical, and chemical processing sector, with major industrial activities concentrated around areas such as Mesaieed and Ras Laffan. Qatar’s industrial facilities include large petrochemical and refining operations, including Q-Chem’s integrated petrochemical complex in Mesaieed Industrial City and QatarEnergy’s refining and NGL operations.

Falling Film Reactor Systems can be considered for suitable gas-liquid reactions, fast reactions, absorption-reaction processes, oxidation, heat-sensitive reactions, and continuous-flow applications where efficient heat and mass transfer are important. Pilon Engineering can provide customized systems for customers in Doha, Mesaieed, Ras Laffan, Al Rayyan, and other industrial and research locations across Qatar.

What is a Falling Film Reactor System?

The Falling Film Reactor System consists of vertical tubes or plates through which technical fluid flows in a thin film under gravity. There are heat exchangers through the reactor walls that allow for rapidly controlled chemical reactions, reducing heat loss from tactile objects.

The thin film formation dramatically increases heat transfer performance and provides improved feedback manipulation, making these structures ideal for temperature-sensitive high-purity applications.
