Project – Fluidized Bed Reactor

Provision of Multiple Catalyst Configurations

All about fluidized bed reactor system…

Synthesizing and testing as many catalysts as possible in the shortest duration of time is core approach of any R&D and Pilon very well understands how to support such needs.

  • Fixed Bed Reactors designed and manufactured by Pilon Engineering have high conversion rate per catalysts weight compared to other catalytic reactors.
  • At Pilon, we provide multiple catalyst configurations including: one large bed, several horizontal beds, several parallel packed tubes, multiple beds in their own shells.
  • You may have pellets of various shapes and sizes i.e. spherical, cylindrical or randomly shaped pellets. They range from 0.25 cm to 3.0 cm in diameter. Pilon helps accommodate them all.

Salient Features of Fixed Bed Reactor Systems :

  • Available in various volumes ranging from 5 mL to 100 Ltrs  or further customisable ranges
  • Working pressures as high as 500 barg and temperatures up to 1200 Deg C.
  • MOC available Glass, stainless-steel, Inconel, Hastalloy, Incolloy (800, 800H and 800HT, Monel, Titanium etc.)
  • High conversion rate achievable per weight of catalyst.
  • Reactors can be customised based on the application demand and can be assembled in to series, parallel, multi-zoned

  • Equipments like pressure vessels / autoclaves/ process equipment etc. are designed and manufactured keeping various international standards in mind like PED/ ASME/ CE etc. where ever required.
  • Suitable for various area classifications like safe, explosive, atex various zones etc.
  • System integration based on computer based PLC SCADA can be done considering appropriate reputed makes of piping/ tubing, valves, pressure/ temperature gauges/ indicators/ controller etc. themocouples, furnaces, gas/ liquid flow controllers, sensors, panels, SCADA softwares etc. are procured and assembled inhouse.
  • Easy catalyst loadings and unloadings, ergonomic designs
  • More contact between reactant and catalyst than in other types of reactors.
  • More product is formed due to increased reactant/catalyst contact.
  • Low cost of construction, operation, and maintenance.
  • Low cost of construction, operation, and maintenance.
  • Effective at high temperatures and pressures.

  • Employed for processes involving reaction of liquids and/or gases by bringing them in contact with a catalyst bed.
  • Liquid gases are dosed in the liquid phase and quantitatively measured using mini-Coriolis mass-flow-control technology. Viscous feedstocks are stored in weighed, heated and pressurized feed barrels and dosed with high-temperature dosing pumps.
  • High velocities of the reactants suspends the solid bed and it behaves like a fluid and allows contact of the various reaction media.
  • A wide range of multiphase reactions can be carried out using an FBR.
