Our systems run 24X7 often running at elevated pressures and temperatures or in corrosive environments the whole year.
If a component in our unit fails it can potentially set down a unit. Which means either the experiment has to be stopped or the experiment, its feeds | Catalysts are destroyed. For times when processes and experiments | trials tend to extend for a longer duration, component failures may be disastrous and not acceptable for the process itself.
You may, if experiment fails; throw away the results and restart if system is good but if system fails it calls for immediate replacements and for components having longer lead times, wastage of time and non-productive phase can be a major setback for any R&D.
